Best Insurance Sites - A Detailed Overview

Here is a list of my favorite insurance sites in regards to both auto and home insurance. A lot of these you probably have heard of before since they are commonly found in TV commercials.

1. Geico

A popular brand with low premiums that is often found nationwide. A low APR and easy residuals make this one of the best brands out there. It is obviously going to depend on your state but if located in the U.S. This is a must try brand that is great for beginners and new homeowners.

2. Liberty Mutual

A great brand for American users that is commonly found in the commercials. A relatively low APR and high credit score will garner you are boat load of benefits. Those with low incomes will find this service beneficial since the interest rates are very reasonable.

They also have a great online tool to check how high or low the interest rates are in your state. If you live on the Eastern side of the United Steas for example your rates are significantly lower.

3. Nationwide

Great for both auto and homeowners insurance, especially if your credit score is low. Offers both personal and business loans for startups that usually give fast approval. I highly recommend this brand for those new to insurance.

Includes premium packages that are quite pricey but if you do your due diligence you can find ones that are on the lower end.

4. State Farm

A prestigious and old brand that still stands the test of time. Recommended for those with low credit scores and not much in the way of collateral. If located in America you can expect low interest rates with this insurance plan.

If you have a long history of good credit then this is your best option. They will approve you relatively fast and you can be up and running in no time.

5. Progressive

A relatively new insurance company that works well for more affluent users. A high credit score is necessary and expect high interest rates. If new to insurance you may want to avoid this service at all costs. Still, you get what you pay for.

They do however have high fees in certain plans so make sure to do your research first before choosing this particular provider.

6. The General

Defintely meant for those with bad credit and no collateral, The General is great for beginners. The homeowners and life insurance interest rates are really low and the APR is high.

I have found this service especially good for rural Americans who have little to no utlility bills. The General also offers discounts for those living in remote areas.

I highly recommend you try out any of these programs as they are certified by the Better Business Bureau and work wonders for those who are new to being a homeowner or have leased their first vehicle.
